The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) has selected an additional 24 players for the IFAF World Team roster that will face Team USA in USA Football's International Bowl on Wednesday, February 1 in Austin, Texas. Two of the players are from the Manitoba Bisons – Antony Coombs and Evan Gill.

Coombs, 19, was a rookie with Manitoba in 2011 and was named CIS Football First Team All-Canadian and Canada West All-Star at the running back position.
The Winnipeg native produced 640 rushing yards (eighth best in CIS) on 84 carries and added eight rushing touchdowns (fifth most in CIS) along with 1203 all-purpose yards (first in Canada West). He also added a 90 yard TD reception and tied for the second longest in Bison history.

Gill, 19, also had his rookie campaign with Manitoba in 2011 at defensive end position and made an immediate impact. The Winnipeg native completed the season with the fifth highest tackles on the team with 32.5 (6.5 for losses) and his 3.5 sacks was tied for eighth highest in Canada West and best on the team. He also added one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one break-up.

Canadian head coach Greg Marshall and his staff met at the AFCA Convention in San Antonio on Jan. 9-13 week and confirmed a roster of 46 players by adding to those announced in November, December and early January. Four roster spots will remain open, to be filled by players elevated from the IFAF Development Team that will also practice in Austin later this month.

The current 46-man IFAF roster features players from nine IFAF member federations - American Samoa, Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Japan, Mexico, Spain and Sweden.

The Texas state capital will host the third annual International Bowl - formerly known as USA vs. The World - when the IFAF World Team of teenage American football players takes on American's Under-19 National Team, composed of current high school seniors (class of 2012) at the Kelly Reeves Athletics Complex in Austin.

Bison Football Head Coach Brian Dobie commented, “This is a great opportunity for both Anthony and Evan to showcase their tremendous skills at an international level.”
