Congratulations! If you are reading this page, you or someone close to you is planning on coming to the University of Manitoba this fall ... and likely the Asper School of Business. This is a very exciting time and we want to do our best to help make the transition from high school as smooth as possible, for everyone.
Below are two important things happening between now and June 2nd.
Over the next number of weeks, UofM Student Recruitment staff will be visiting many high schools in Manitoba to talk to grade 12 students who have applied to the UofM for the 2012-2013 academic year. The purpose of the presentations is to introduce incoming University of Manitoba students to the many important tasks and deadlines that they need be aware of as they prepare for their studies in the fall. The project is called STAR, and as part of the session students will receive an informative brochure with important dates, timelines, things to do between now and September, etc. All incoming high school students should attend these sessions if they are offered in their school - we have attached the link to the STAR site which provides a downloadable pdf of the brochure. STAR Project presentations will also be offered on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus as a part of Head Start 2012,
Please note that all newly admitted students and their families are encouraged to attend the HeadStart program at the Fort Garry Campus on Saturday, June 2. Link attached below. Students entering the Asper School of Business (and their families) should attend the Asper presentation, which is part of the planned program for the day. Please register for HeadStart on-line ASAP.
The Asper website has all the info new Asper students need - we have info session in the summer and students should mark their calendars for the Bachelor of Commerce Luncheon (Sept 4) and Buddy Day (Sept 5). We will send out more info in the summer!
Welcome to the UofM and Asper!
