International presenters
This year’s MADLaT conference will include presenters from the international community. Coming to Manitoba, they will offer a differentiated perspective on educational technology in other educational and work systems different from our own.
Session 11
The debate continues whether technology changes our mental construct. Do the modern-day tools we use alter our behaviours and how so? In their presentation, Instructional Design for Hypermedia Learning Materials, Ahmed Aldraiweesh and Uthman Alturki will discuss how hypermedia learning changes our learning environment, especially in the acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values in Virtual Learning Environments and other types of Online Educational media.
Session 22
How are educators using Social Media to guide the learning process in real-time? Martin Löfgren and Per Ahlkvist from the Department of Education in Karlshamn, Sweden will present A Formative Dialogue Method Using Social Media. By helping their students to develop writing skills through critical feedback using social media, learners concurrently develop their analytical and writing skills in online forums.
