| Earth Day is Sunday, April 22nd.
Take action this day by pledging to change one behaviour - big or small to keep our planet healthy and habitable for generations to come.
Consider the following: 1. Pledge to compost. Get tips and how-to's from Manitoba's own Green Action Centre (www.greenactioncentre.ca).
2. You've heard of Meatless Mondays... try Car-free Fridays! Pledge to Ditch the car and decide to be active. Take your bike or walk to work! Or decide to take the bus one day per week.
3. Oh, you haven't heard of Meatless Mondays? Well, here's your chance to try it out! Every Monday pledge to have vegetarian meals. Learn more at meatlessmonday.ca
4. Chemical Free Cleaning! Cheaper, fewer hacking fits and no need to wear a bio-hazard suit when using vinegar, baking soda and water. Pledge to clean green!
5. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees... PLEASE! Pledge to ditch the lawn chemicals! The birds and bees will thank you. Learn more at from the Manitoba Eco-network - www.mbeconetwork.org.
