48 Bison athletes competing at Summer Games

The 2005 Canada Summer Games runs from August 6-20 in Regina and there are 20 teams representing Manitoba.

From those teams, Bison athletes will be involved with nine teams and there will be a total of 48 Bisons in competition with 4 Bisons as support staff.

The swimming team (women and men) will have Bison head coach Vlastimil Cerny as the coach of the team with 10 swimmers from Bison Sports. There are 22 Bison athletes on the track and field teams (10 women and 12 men). The new Bison sport of women soccer will have seven players on the Manitoba squad.
