Call for Volunteers: The Canadian Banner Users Conference
Posted Wednesday, September 16, 2009 12:34 PM

The University of Manitoba has the pleasure of hosting The Canadian Banner Users Conference (CBUC) in Winnipeg, September 29 to October 1, 2009.   The conference will welcome representatives from Canadian Banner Schools, SunGard and sponsoring organizations.

The CBUC conference attracts approximately 450 delegates and partners from across Canada.  The conference will highlight prominent keynote speakers, numerous track sessions, as well as various social events.  These social events include a golf tournament, a Sponsors’ Reception and a Dinner/Dance.  The conference will be held at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.  There will also be a pre-conference workshop “Leadership and Change” delivered by the Centre for Higher Education Research and Development (CHERD) at the Delta Hotel.

In order to provide top-notch “Winnipeg Hospitality” and put on an amazing conference we require a number of volunteers from September 29th to October 1st.  You will have an opportunity to highlight our great city and ensure delegates have a wonderful experience while in Winnipeg.

We would like to ask you to consider volunteering a few hours of your time to help us make this the best conference possible.  Volunteer time during regular work hours will be treated as regular work hours, requiring approval from your Department Head or Dean.  If a particular date or time is better for you, or if you are interested in a particular event, please let us know when you register.

We look forward to your participation!   Thank you.
