Acting Dean Christine Butterill says, “His background in history, social sciences and Aboriginal affairs, as well as successful career in market research will be a great asset to his leadership at St. Paul’s College.”

Prior to his recent appointment, Adams was vice president with Probe Research. While there, his clients included Manitoba Advanced Education and Literacy, the Council on Post-Secondary Education, the University of Manitoba, the University of Winnipeg, University College of the North, Red River College and Assiniboine Community College.

“Having worked with a wide range of clients in the post-secondary sector across all parts of Manitoba has made me appreciate the complexity of our province’s colleges and universities, and to appreciate the dedication of our educators, administrators, and policy directors,” says Adams.

Adams holds two adjunct professorships: teaching in the fields of politics, public relations, and public administration at the University of Winnipeg, and research methods in the Masters of Business Administration program at the I.H. Asper School of Business. He is a frequent commentator in the Winnipeg Free Press as well as on CBC, Global-TV, and CITY-TV, and his scholarly writings have appeared in a wide
range of academic publications.

While he was a student member of St. Paul’s College in the 1980s, Adams earned two degrees at the University of Manitoba. Following his undergraduate studies, he acquired a doctorate from Carleton University. In his formative years, he attended St. Ignatius School, St. Paul’s High School and Kelvin High School.

An active member of the community, he has served as a member of the Blessed Sacrament Pastoral Council, and board member of Pregnancy and Family Support Services. In 2009 he provided expertise to help secure federal funds to build a third floor for the Holy Names House of Peace building.
