Dr, Danielle Bouchard
Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management
Dr. Bouchard joined the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation and Management as an Assistant Professor in July 2011. Her current research interests are focusing on how to decrease the rate of inactivity, the role of age in lifestyle modifications and how obesity affects physical capacity of older adults.
Prior to joining the University of Manitoba she earned her doctoral degree at Université de Sherbrooke and a post-doc at Queen's University. She has received several honours in the aging field (Age plus prize from CIHR, Scientist-in-Training Research Award from AGS, etc). Dr. Bouchard has also been actively involved in the Canadian Obesity Network and has recently started a blog (in French) with a colleague on obesity topics.
