Name: Mandy Los

Job Title: Certified Athletic Therapist

What is your Degree in?
Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science - Athletic Therapy from the University of Manitoba; certification as an Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association and certification as an Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors in the summers - golfing or camping. I love to travel and try to get away somewhere new as much as possible.

What do you like about working at the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre?
I really like that I have the best of both worlds as an Athletic Therapist - I have the opportunity to work in the field setting with Bison athletes and I have the opportunity to work in the clinical setting with athletes, staff, students and members of the community. I'm happy to be able to mentor future Athletic Therapists and share my knowledge with them.

What is your favourite part about working at the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre?
My favourite part of working at the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre is the wide variety of injuries we assess and treat. I really enjoy the challenge each individual brings and the challenge of designing rehab programs catered to an individuals' lifestyle - whether it's competing at an elite level or being able to work at a computer station all day.

What is one interesting fact that people might not know about you?
I have my certification through PADI in open water scuba diving. I aspire to one day dive the Great Barrier Reef.
