Job Title: Athletic Therapist

What is your Degree in? I have a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Manitoba. I am also a certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapistsí Association.

How long have you worked at the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre? I started part time with the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre in February 2007. I was very excited to be offered a full time position in July 2008.

What do you like to do in your free time? I like to keep active by participating in a variety of sports such as baseball, volleyball, curling and golf. I also enjoy running and working out.

What do you like about working at the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre? I like the diversity that comes from working with a variety of clientele, including students and staff at the University, members of the community, and athletes from the Bison sports teams. I love the challenge of being able to create a therapy program that meets the requirements of each individual.

What is your favourite part about working with the Bison Athletic Therapy Centre? I love being part of a multi-disciplinary clinic working alongside the other athletic therapists, a massage therapist and the orthopaedic surgeons and doctors.

What is one interesting fact that people might not know about you? I spent one week with the New York Rangers on a work experience training program. I met and worked with some of the best players in the NHL and attended practices and games working alongside the Rangers therapy staff.
