Built-in Text Types are used internally by Web Forms for various purposes. Although they are accessible to form managers when
adding or updating Text - Single Line questions, they cannot be deleted, even by an nTreePoint administrator. Administrators can,
however, update the Text Type in order to change the regular expressions, name, or error messages.
The following details the build-in Text Types:
This Text Types validates input to ensure that, as much as possible, the user has entered a valid email address. This does
not guarantee that the email is a real address; it only validates the format of the input.
This Text Type is used by Web Forms to deliver email to end-users after they have filled out a Web Form if the
form manager has enabled the appropriated options. See the Form Settings help
file for additional information. This Text Type also enabled Web Forms to create email links in the listing and detail
view so end-users can click an email address to send a message instead of having to copy and paste the email address
into their email clients.
This Text Type validates input to ensure that, as much as possible, the user has entered a valid URL, whether it's
a Web address, an FTP address, etc. Web Forms uses this Text Type to allow URL fields to be active links that users
can click from the listing and detail views.
